Here are the messy notes I took during the live Levanta AMA call to reference as well:
Here’s a screenshot of the changes Amazon made to its creator operating agreement on Dec 20. Apologies for the pour quality.
The first bullet is relevant to Levanta - can not receive duplicate commissions.
Creators need to choose associates or Levanta link PER link basis – you can use both programs and both tags and use both kinds of links within the same article.
Top-tier affiliates have “special bonus rate cards” and have to reach the sales metrics.
Only top 5% have these rate cards with Amazon.
New Amazon Creator Connections Integration with Levanta Dashbaord
Allows brands are able to offer additional incentives that is in compliance with the new Amazon associates program.
In response to these changes, large publishers were impacted and were quickly reverting links back to the Amazon Associates links to maintain their “special rate card”
Creator connections database will now be visible and available for brands on Levanta
Reporting features - integration with creator connections to have real aggregated reporting in real time for the first time on a product, creator basis with the goal of giving actionable insights.
FULL program performance and continue to grow program through giving them performance bonuses
Attribution + CC reporting will both be pulled for both sides of reporting
AKA how is Creator A performing in their Amazon Associates program AND how is Creator A performing on a product sku level using their Levanta link.
Brands should look at this as a BRAND LOYALTY BONUS Program
Provides a way for Brands to individually incentivize creator partners within creator connections
PREVIOUSLY In Creator connections - brand could go in and set up only one commission rate for all creators.
NOW Levanta can reward top performance based on sales - can provide revenue bonus to correct affiliates and correct incremental affiliates are being incentivized.
For example: if a Brand sets a minimum public rate at 10% in creator connections and then connects with creators using Levanta to add extra incentives to specific and targeted creators:
Earn an additional $20 per $100 of sales
Paid out monthly if certain KPIs are met
Helps brands and Levanta to remain compliant with Amazon
Helps brands build and own direct relationships with creators
Helps brands scale program with a more efficient strategy
Can also use CC with top-tier publishers that have those special rate cards with Amazon where they won’t be penalized.
PENDING IMPACT CALL….
Levanta says this is “The first of its kind”
The only way to track and record Creator Connections (CC) revenue
Allows brands and agencies to SEE full database of CC creators, go out and recruit them, and give them individual incentives to promote them they way you want to.
Allowing Brands to run real affiliate programs via CC for the first time
